Gogung is one of Seoul's most well-known bibimbap restaurants, located in the heart of Insadong's antique and gallery district. The restaurant serves a royal-style stone-pot bibimbap (dolsot bibimbap) — a colorful array of seasoned vegetables, beef, and a raw egg mixed into hot rice in a sizzling stone bowl. The crispy rice that forms at the bottom of the pot, called nurungji, is considered a delicacy on its own. Gogung has been serving this dish since 1982 and remains one of the most recommended bibimbap spots in the city.
