Hyo-dong Gak in Euljiro is widely regarded as one of the best places in Seoul to eat jajangmyeon — the thick black bean noodle dish that is a cornerstone of Korean-Chinese cuisine. Open since 1937, the restaurant has been perfecting its recipe for nearly a century: handmade noodles topped with a savory sauce of fermented black bean paste, diced pork, and vegetables.
